Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, LVN or RN. Recent courses in business or computer sciences with a Bachelor of Science in Business preferred, minimum of 2 years of experience with Meditech required. Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, additional languages preferred. Computer knowledge necessary, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and Windows. Proven project leadership and implementation experience with responsibility for policy and procedure development, documentation manual development and staff training.
Brief Job Description: The Clinical Information Systems Specialist will serve as the key clinical practice expert for all information systems applications providing support to the Clinical departments regarding Order Entry, Nursing, PCI, BMV, EHR, Pharmacy, MIS and EDM modules, and others as needed. The focus of this position will be to primarily develop, coordinate, implement and direct the development of Clinical Information systems primarily using the Meditech core system with integration into the hospital wide information system and providing support to the development of departmental systems and software applications. Additionally, responsibilities include system support, information integration and report generation related to departmental specific programs and information systems related to departmental operations.
