Monday - Friday 8a-5p Day JOB SUMMARY: At the direction of the Director of Medical Records, assume responsibility for the direct coordination and supervision of transcription personnel, related transcription support staff and activities involved with transcription, transcription editing and distribution, and management of outsourced transcription services across all of DHMC. Collaborate closely with other departments supervisors to plan, implement, and manage activities related to dictation and transcription. Serve as system administrator and the central point of contact both internally and externally for the DHMC digital dictation/transcription system. MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or related field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or the equivalent in education and experience required. Registered Health Information Administrator or Technician certification preferred. Prior experience with digital dictation systems preferred. Knowledge of current transcription standards and trends desired. Demonstrated ability to balance conflicting demands and solve problems. Good analytical and negotiation skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills required
